2-4 Person Fisherman’s Cabin
Down a track, past a château dating from the 9th century is Fisherman’s Cabin. Perched on a big ol’ granite rock, overlooking the lake and just a stone’s throw from the forest, it was built by us from local timber, using Bob’s sawmill.
Explore Fisherman’s Cabin
Inside, it’s simply furnished with much love and there’s a treasure trove of intriguing bits & bobs to keep you busy – from telescopes to microscopes, fishing rods to nature books, art supplies and junk-shop gems. This cabin can sleep up to four people.
Solar panels power electric lights, a woodburning stove keeps the cabin toasty and heats the water for the shower and there’s a composting loo. The kitchen is well equipped, and there’s a double bedroom dowstairs. Up the crazy staircase is a twin bedroom which looks out over the lake (good for kids – as headroom is restricted!).
Outside, a deck looks over the water where you’ll find the raft, perfect for voyaging to the mini-waterfall and a BBQ. Set forth along the track and you’ll be exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside on one of the many marked walking/cycling tracks, or hire our bikes and cycle to the village for croissants or Piégut for the fab weekly market.
Also on the covertcabin conveyer belt of joy….a shop in a box for when you can’t make it to the shop…..a few cold beers and a bottle of wine…..pop-up picnic service available….tea & coffee etc; eco friendly toiletries and cleaning stuff and much, much more!
