Covertcabin Booking Conditions

  1. Lettings are provisional until confirmed by the owners. Lettings are usually from 4.00pm on the day of arrival until 10.00am on the day of departure.
  2. The property is offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by the owners to the renter (the client). To reserve the property, the client should complete the booking form and then send a payment of the initial non refundable deposit (25% of the rental due).
  3. Following receipt of the booking form and deposit the owners will send confirmation of your booking. this is the formal acceptance of the booking. The balance of the rent is payable not less than six weeks before the start of the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the owner reserves the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled.
  4. The client will remain liable to pay the balance of the rent unless the owner is able to relet the property. In this event, clause 6 of these T&C’s will apply. Reservations made within six weeks of the start of the rental period require payment in full at the time of booking.
  5. Any chargeable expenses arising during the rental period shall be settled locally with the owners.
  6. In the event of a cancellation refunds of amounts paid will be made if the owner is able to relet the property, and any expenses or losses incurred in doing so will be deducted from the refundable amount.
  7. The client is strongly advised to arrange comprehensive travel insurance, including cancellation cover, and to have full cover for the party’s belongings, public liability etc; since these are not covered by the owner’s insurance. The owner shall not be obliged to offer the accomodation before the agreed time of arrival and the client shall not be entitled to remain in occupation after the agreed departure time.
  8. The maximum number to reside at the property shall not exceed 2 at Woodsman’s cabin & Little Rock Cabin or 4 at Fisherman’s cabin, unless the owner has given written permission. The owner reserves the right to refuse admission or to request the departure of people arriving in excess of these numbers.
  9. The client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the property and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. the client also agrees not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to those residents in neighbouring properties.
  10. The client agrees not to bring any pets to the property without prior permission and not to smoke inside the property. The client shall report to the owner without delay any defect in the property or breakdown in equipment, machinery or appliances in the property or surrounding land. Arrangements for repair or replacement will be made as soon as possible.
  11. The owner shall not be liable to the client for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the client if the property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in any such event, the owner shall, within seven days of the notification to the client, refund all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.
  12. Under no circumstances shall the owner’s liability exceed the amount paid to the owner for the rental period. this contract shall be governed by French law in every particular incuding formation and interpretaion and shall be deemed to have been made in France.
  13. Any proceedings arising out of or in connection with this contract may be brought in any court of competant jurisdiction in France. Robert Kirkwood, Lacaud, 24360, Busserolles, France.
